Kenneth Tan

Growing up middle class in New York City, Kenneth saw that everyone around him faced different types of hardship. He started working at a local nonprofit, Neighborhood Trust, to help offer financial literacy training to low-income adults in his community.

One day, Kenneth got a text from his brother Samson about a new initiative he had thought of to bring these ingenious power packs to Puerto Rico. His immediate reply: "Where do I sign up?"

Kenneth is a student at Stony Brook University, where he is pursuing a double major in Economics and Applied Mathematics. When he is not studying late into the night, he enjoys cooking for his friends and family.
