Laurence Pevsner

At his 8th grade graduation ceremony, Laurence wrapped up his first public speech by claiming, with all seriousness, that his fellow students were now "mature and responsible"—garnering a hearty laugh from the parents in the auditorium. Since then, Laurence has made a career of getting emotional reactions from audiences—mostly on purpose.

Laurence works as a speechwriter and communications strategist for West Wing Writers—a firm founded by former Clinton and Obama speechwriters. There, he writes speeches, op-eds, books, narratives, and strategic messaging for executives, entertainers, philanthropists, athletes, and politicians. His clients have used his words to persuade and inspire in all kinds of venues—including the op-ed pages of The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, network television broadcasts, daises of countless charity galas and university commencements, and the White House.

A magna cum laude graduate of Amherst College, Laurence lives in Brooklyn, New York, and is proud to be helping the Energise Puerto Rico team with such an important cause.
